Introduction

La Mullas International Techno School (“LMITS”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the LMITS Mobile and Web Application (“App”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring transparency in how your information is collected, used, stored, shared, and protected.

This Privacy Policy applies to students, parents, guardians, staff, teachers, administrators, and other authorized users of the LMITS App and website (collectively, “Users”).

Information We Collect

• Personal and Contact Details: Student, parent, guardian, or staff name, date of birth, gender, address, phone number, email address, relationship details, and emergency contacts.
• Identity and School Records: Admission number, employee number, class, section, branch, academic year, and other identifiers used for official school administration.
• Government-Issued Identifiers: Aadhaar number or other government-issued identifier, only where lawfully required and voluntarily or validly provided for an authorized school purpose.
• Academic and Attendance Information: Attendance, homework, classwork, assignments, examinations, results, progress records, timetable, library activity, and school communications.
• Payments and Finance Information: Fee assignments, dues, concessions, receipts, payment mode, payment date, transaction status, merchant order ID, reconciliation information, and payment-related records.
• Uploaded Content: Profile photographs, fee receipts, school documents, homework, classwork, certificates, and other files voluntarily uploaded through the App.
• Device and Usage Information: Device type, operating system, app version, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, login activity, crash reports, diagnostic logs, and interaction data used for security, troubleshooting, and service improvement.

How We Use Information

We use personal information for legitimate educational and administrative purposes, including to:

• Maintain student, parent, staff, attendance, academic, and operational records.
• Manage admissions, enrolment, classes, sections, examinations, homework, and school services.
• Process, verify, reconcile, and report fee payments and approved financial transactions.
• Issue receipts, reminders, notices, circulars, emergency alerts, and school announcements.
• Provide secure access to LMITS accounts and role-based features.
• Prevent fraud, misuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents.
• Improve the reliability, performance, accessibility, and user experience of the App.
• Comply with applicable legal, regulatory, accounting, educational, and audit obligations.

We do not sell or rent personal information.

Legal Basis

Depending on the nature of the processing and applicable law, we may rely on consent, parent or guardian authorization, performance of educational services, compliance with legal obligations, protection of legitimate interests, school administration requirements, safety, security, and other lawful grounds.

Data Sharing

We may share relevant information only with:

• Authorized school personnel who require access for official duties.
• Service providers, including cloud hosting, technology, communication, notification, payment, analytics, and support vendors, subject to appropriate contractual and confidentiality safeguards.
• Government departments, education authorities, regulators, courts, or law-enforcement agencies where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
• Professional advisers and auditors where necessary for lawful school operations, financial reconciliation, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.

We share only the information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose.

Online Payments and Payment Gateways

The LMITS Platform may allow parents, guardians, and other authorized users to pay school fees and other approved charges through third-party payment service providers, including PhonePe and other authorized payment gateways.

For processing and verifying payments, we may share limited transaction-related information with the selected payment provider, such as payer name, student reference, amount, merchant order ID, transaction status, payment reference, and reconciliation details.

La Mullas School and LMITS do not collect or store your UPI PIN, card PIN, CVV, OTP, internet-banking password, or complete payment instrument credentials. Such sensitive credentials are entered and processed directly by the relevant payment service provider.

Payment processing is also governed by the privacy policy, terms, and security practices of the payment provider selected by the User.

A payment will be treated as successful only after confirmation is received from the relevant payment provider and the transaction is reconciled in LMITS.

App Permissions

Users may manage permissions through their device settings. Disabling certain permissions may limit related App features.

Cookies and Tracking

The LMITS website and web application may use essential cookies or similar technologies to maintain secure sessions, remember preferences, prevent misuse, and support basic functionality.

We do not use cookies for targeted advertising or unrelated cross-site behavioural tracking. Browser settings may be used to control cookies, although some services may not function correctly when essential cookies are disabled.

Data Security

• Encrypted transmission through HTTPS and secure server configurations.
• Authentication, role-based access control, and least-privilege access principles.
• Administrative audit trails and activity monitoring where applicable.
• Regular backups, technical maintenance, and security reviews.
• Restricted access to payment and financial records.

No electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We continuously review and improve our safeguards to reduce foreseeable risks.

Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for educational, administrative, accounting, legal, regulatory, safety, audit, dispute-resolution, and operational purposes.

When information is no longer required, it may be securely deleted, anonymized, archived, or otherwise handled in accordance with applicable law and school retention requirements.

Children’s Privacy

LMITS is designed for use in a school environment and may process information relating to children and students, including children below the age of 18.

Where required, personal information relating to a child is processed with the involvement or authorization of a parent, guardian, or the school acting for lawful educational purposes.

We do not knowingly collect more information than is reasonably necessary to provide educational, administrative, safety, communication, and school-management services.

Your Rights

Subject to applicable law and school obligations, Users may request to:

• Access personal information held about themselves or their child.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Withdraw consent for optional processing, where consent is the applicable basis.
• Request deletion or restriction of eligible personal information.
• Raise a complaint or grievance regarding privacy or data handling.

Requests may be subject to identity verification, school-record requirements, and legal or regulatory retention obligations.

Account and Data Deletion

Parents, guardians, staff, and other authorized Users may request account deletion or deletion of eligible personal information by emailing info@lamullas.com.

The request should include the User’s full name, role, registered mobile number or email, and relevant student or employee details so that identity and authority can be verified.

Certain academic, attendance, fee, accounting, statutory, security, audit, or dispute-related records may be retained where required by law or legitimate school administration obligations.

International Transfers

If personal information is processed or stored outside the User’s country, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are applied in accordance with applicable data-protection and contractual requirements.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Revised versions will be published on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the App, website, school notice, or other appropriate channels.
